Phil Matsumoto's Bio
I was born on a U.S. Navy Base in Yokosuka, Japan, in 1953. I emigrated to the U.S. in 1966 with my family. We settled in New York City, right on Manhattan, where I went to high school. At 17, I matriculated at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Our family moved to San Diego, CA, in 1973. I then worked at Sony Corporation’s TV manufacturing plant in San Diego before starting my own video production company in 1983. I then decided to become a computer consultant, which I did for about 27 years.
I would describe myself now as a Citizen Scientist and writer. My dream and focus now is to start a health spa in my new home of Sedona, Arizona, devoted to cancer and heart disease prevention (my father passed away from cancer many years ago, which is how I became interested in cancer), as well as to continue writing books and producing videos. I’ve been doing research on cancer and other degenerative diseases for over 40 years now, and I am now ready to spread the knowledge that I’ve learned to the whole world.
My father worked for the U.S. Navy in Japan. He loved books and was an author himself. I inherited my love of books from him. My mother was an “education mom,” who really emphasized getting a great education. I owe them both a lot….
