Our Different Diet Plans

 

We will be featuring dishes from many different diet plans at our spa. Here are some of the more popular diets and their characteristics:

 



Spa Menu

 

Here are some sample dishes that we will be serving at our health spa:

Mediterranean diet

Anchovies in olive oil
Herrings, other seafood
Fava beans, other beans
Wild greens (dandelion greens, etc.)
Garden greens (kale, lettuce, spinach, etc.);

Anti-Insulin Resistance diet:
        
No bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, fruit, fruit juices, sugar, snacks, pastries
Low-fat cheese & yogurt with no sugar are acceptable
Protein: Beef, chicken, fish, eggs.
Carbs: Severely restricted but sweet potatoes are okay, whole wheat and brown rice are acceptable;

Okinawa diet:
                            
Miso, tofu, edamame                                                
Vegetables                                                
Seaweed                                                
Seafood                                                
Adzuki beans, other beans;

Indian diet:

Naan – Indian bread
Kachumbar – Indian-style cucumber-tomato salad
Masoor Dal – red split lentils
Tamarind Sauce Fish Curry;

Vegan diet:

Organic salad greens
Green juice (kale, spinach, wheatgrass, sprouts, etc.)
Flax seed cake - from ChocolaTree Restaurant, Sedona, AZ
African ground nut (peanut) soup - from The Prophet Restaurant,  San Diego, California;

Plant-based cooking:
 
Featuring delicious recipes that have 80% plant ingredients and 20% proteins.
